Las Vegas, NV - July 20, 2010 – Security BSides, the first and only community-driven event built for and by information security community members, today announced the 2010 speaker line-up for BSides Las Vegas, being held July 28-29 at 2810 Vegas Estate from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. PT. Growing ten-fold since it first debuted a year ago, BSides Las Vegas 2010 will include 33 talks, 41 presenters, 10 exciting events including a brand new infosec mentoring panel, and several lightning talks, drawing nearly 400 registrations to date. “Security BSides is not your typical conference; it is a movement. These events are all about expanding the spectrum of infosec discussions and encouraging participants to give voice, creation and refinement to the ‘next big thing’ – whatever that may be,” said Chris Nickerson, Co-founder of Security BSides.

The goal of Security BSides is to foster communication and collaboration while increasing the level of conversation. It provides a solid framework for similar conferences to be organized and hosted locally and worldwide. Because the events offer smaller, more intimate networking atmospheres and breakout discussions, they foster strong audience participation and overall group interaction.
