PRESS RELEASE

WALNUT CREEK, CA – October 7, 2015Savvius, Inc., a leader in packet-level network analytics and post-breach security forensics, today announced a technology partnership with Lancope, a leader in network visibility and security intelligence. The company will integrate Savvius Vigil™, the industry’s first security appliance capable of automatically storing months of network packet data to enhance data breach investigations, with Lancope’s StealthWatch® System.

Lancope’s StealthWatch System is a leading solution for network visibility and security intelligence across physical and virtual environments. With the StealthWatch System, network operations and security teams can obtain actionable insight into network usage and suspicious behaviors linked to Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), insider threats, and malware. When the StealthWatch System detects suspicious behavior, it can automatically alert Savvius Vigil to record the network packets associated with that event, including packets preceding and following the event, for later investigation by security analysts.

A high-performance security appliance dedicated to post-breach forensics, Savvius Vigil makes security investigations more effective, reducing the time to complete understanding and full resolution of an incident. Savvius Vigil makes network packet data, information vital for analyzing and understanding attacks and threats, available in circumstances where previously not available, such as during investigations into incidents that were not discovered for weeks or months. The included Savvius OmniPeek™ network analysis software can examine the recorded traffic in detail.

“We’re excited to partner with Lancope and support their mission to provide enterprises with a powerful solution for investigating and mitigating APTs, insider attacks, and other critical security threats,” said Mandana Javaheri, Chief Technology Officer, Savvius. “Too often, investigations are hampered by a lack of access to network packet data. Now, organizations using our combined solution can enhance their incident response capabilities with critical additional insight.”

“Enterprises are looking for new ways to combat the threat of APTs and insider attacks,” said Chris Smithee, director of business development at Lancope. “The combination of Lancope StealthWatch and Savvius Vigil provides enterprise security teams with both broad and deep visibility into suspicious network activity, whether that activity occurred recently, weeks ago, or even months ago. In today’s environment of constantly evolving attacks, technology partnerships like these are important for strengthening the CISO toolset.”
