Q1 Labs Integrates QRadar SIEM Solution With McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Software

Integration work between firms combines end point security with network security to provide customers with broader view of activity within organizations

WALTHAM, Mass. ' Q1 Labs, a global provider of security information and event management (SIEM) products, today announced the integration of its acclaimed QRadar network security management offering with McAfee' ePolicy Orchestrator' (ePO) software, the McAfee unified security and compliance management system, as part of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) partner program.

By combining the McAfee ePO software asset-based system security information with QRadar's ability to monitor user, application, data center, and network-based security information, customers gain end-to-end visibility while leveraging QRadar's inherent operational efficiencies in network security management.

"This new integration work between McAfee and Q1 Labs combines end point security with network security and provides customers with a broader view of what's happening in their enterprise," said Tom Turner, vice president of marketing and channel sales at Q1 Labs.

McAfee ePO software is the first platform that lets enterprises and governments centrally manage security and compliance products from multiple vendors, offering unprecedented cost savings and return on investment. With more than 35,000 customers and managing security solutions on more than 60 million PCs and servers, this unique platform is helping McAfee SIA program partners to extend their reach and create complementary functionality.

"By implementing leading products that are compatible with McAfee solutions ' like Q1 Labs' QRadar security information and event management offering ' our customers experience faster deployment times and reduced costs," said Joe Gottlieb, vice president of corporate strategy and technology alliances at McAfee. "QRadar intelligently distills large amounts of information from a wide range of sources and makes additional security events visible to McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator database. Through its smart automation and reporting, we expect this integration to improve incident response for our customers and reduce their time to problem resolution."
