Proginet Launches Slingshot 1.6 Corporate Edition to Enable Global Enterprises to Seamlessly Send Large Files Securely with Full Auditability and Reduced Storage Costs

Scalability without user behavior modification is achieved via compatibility with the large enterprise's existing Exchange Server and Active Directory Environment

Garden City, N.Y. " June 18, 2009 " Proginet Corporation [OTCBB:PRGF] , a world leader in multi-platform file transfer solutions, today announced the availability of a software solution designed specifically for large global enterprises that need powerful file transfer solutions for their users, without users having to modify their typical everyday use of Microsoft Outlook and Exchange.

Slingshot comes with an Outlook plug-in that provides an enhanced capability to send, secure, and control attachments, thus solving all of the major problems associated with email attachments " size, space, security, and control. Additionally, Slingshot conveniently and securely enables a user to send any size file to anyone with Internet access.

"File transfer should be among the top five IT priorities for just about any enterprise", said Michael Osterman of Osterman Research. "Any file transfer solution should provide the security that enterprises need, but without the need to take lots of time and resources to educate users on how to use the new solution " a solution that is not easy to use just won't be used."

"With sensitivity to the way global enterprises work, we designed Slingshot 1.6 to seamlessly integrate with Microsoft Outlook and Exchange, allowing for multiple servers to be deployed to meet the requirements for large numbers of users spread across the globe," said Sandy Weil, President and CEO of Proginet. "The key to our Slingshot design was to make the user experience identical to their experience before Slingshot is installed."

Slingshot 1.6 integrates seamlessly with e-mail systems so that users can easily share and transfer files of any size. Attachments travel a parallel path to the email server and are stored on the Slingshot server. This approach eliminates attachment clutter from the e-mail server and user .pst files. Slingshot 1.6 provides total security by encrypting attachments while in transit between the sender and recipient and while at rest awaiting receipt. Slingshot creates logs and time stamps for every step of the process to provide customers with total control, auditability and compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.

Two new features included in Slingshot 1.6 are designed for large global enterprises and enable thousands of global enterprise users to send and receive large files without either the IT teams or users modifying their behaviors:

Stackable servers design supports multiple Slingshot servers alongside multiple Exchange servers enabling scalability to virtually any size Exchange deployment.

Full Active Directory integration enables internal users to authenticate against the enterprise's Active Directory so there is no need for new or additional user IDs and passwords. There is no need to add external users to your Active Directory environment, as Slingshot can store these users in a Slingshot database and authenticate against this database before providing authenticated access to attachments.
