July 15, 2009: Olympia, WA -- Patrick Townsend Security Solutions (PTSS) announced today that it has hired John Earl as its President and CEO. Patrick Townsend, founder and current President, will immediately assume the role as Chairman of the Board, and Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Townsend commented that, "I'm really pleased to have John on board. He brings a wealth of IT security experience with him, and the necessary leadership skills to take the company to the next level of success."

John Earl has nearly 30 years of experience in the IBM mid-range market. He was a co-founder of the PowerTech Group, and was most recently Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of the Seattle-based technology company. In addition to his duties at PowerTech, Mr. Earl is a widely recognized System i (AS/400) security expert, serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for security with the COMMON user group, and is a former COMMON board member.
