The Open Group, a vendor-neutral IT consortium, announced the publication of The Open Group Trusted Technology Framework (O-TTPF) whitepaper, which outlines industry best practices meant to help secure development, manufacturing and delivery in the global supply chain for commercial software and hardware products.

The whitepaper is the first deliverable from the newly formed Open Group Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF), a global initiative of technology vendors, governments, and customer organizations which was recently formed to help secure the technology supply chain in response to today’s ever-changing climate of cyber and security threats. Founding members of the TTF include some of the world’s most prominent technology companies and government agencies, including Boeing, Cisco, HP, IBM, Microsoft, NASA, Oracle and U.S. Department of Defense.
