NaviSite Survey Reveals Enterprise IT Executives' Biggest Trends And Challenges

ANDOVER, Mass. – May 1, 2013 – NaviSite, Inc., a Time Warner Cable Company and premier provider of enterprise-class hosting, managed applications, managed messaging and managed cloud services, today announced the results of a survey aimed at enterprise executives to understand the biggest IT trends impacting their strategy. NaviSite surveyed more than 500 IT professionals from organizations with more than 200 employees, and, according to respondents, the top three trends facing enterprise IT departments today are constricted budgets (31 percent), cloud (25 percent), and data explosion (25 percent).

Not surprisingly, one of the biggest findings coming from the survey is the need to understand data storage location. Nearly 50% of respondents said it is highly critical to know where their data resides in the cloud, and 80% said they are storing data in two or more locations. Moreover, 64% of respondents said security is the number one data challenge they face.
