LR Launches Ethernet SP Awards

Light Reading and Heavy Reading call for nominees for their first annual Ethernet Service Provider Awards competition

NEW YORK -- Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the world's leading online publication for the telecom industry, and Heavy Reading (www.heavyreading.com), its prestigious market research division, today call for nominees for their first annual Ethernet Service Provider Awards competition.

This new awards program will recognize leadership and outstanding achievement in the North American Ethernet services market. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, October 25, in a formal presentation at Light Reading's Ethernet Expo 2006 in New York City.

Ethernet Service Provider Awards will be given in three categories:

  • The Market Leadership Award will be given to the service provider that has best demonstrated carrier Ethernet services leadership.

  • The Product Portfolio Award will be given to the service provider that provides the strongest Ethernet services connectivity and applications portfolio.

  • The Innovation Award will be given to the service provider that has demonstrated the greatest sales, marketing, and product innovation.

The nominees for each category will be judged by a panel of Heavy Reading analysts, whose reputation for fiercely independent analysis instantly makes this the most credible and authoritative Ethernet awards program in the industry.
