Logicworks Gets Compliance Certification

Logicworks announced it has completed the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 Type II recertification

NEW YORK -- Logicworks, a provider of enterprise-level managed services and hosting solutions to support business-critical applications, today announced it has completed the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II recertification. Through this recertification process, Logicworks has the expertise to develop data center environments for business-critical applications and data with an added layer of reporting controls required to keep pace with regulatory guidelines.

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SAS 70 examines a service organization’s in-depth audit of its control objectives and control activities. Logicworks’ SAS 70 audit included all controls and procedures as they relate to high-availability hosting, data backup and restoration, disaster recovery, security, and storage.

“Due to regulatory standards and guidelines, such as Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Logicworks customers need the capability to embed an internal control structure into their hosted applications and data for financial reporting,” said Carter Burden, CEO of Logicworks. “We are continuously focused on providing customers with the means to become and maintain complaint by creating and managing a compliant environment. The SAS 70 Type II recertification is one of many validation standards that reinforce our operating policies and procedures.”
