REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Ingrian® Networks, Inc., the leading provider of data privacy solutions, today announced the availability of a new DataSecure® Platform designed to deliver encryption capabilities anywhere they are needed within the enterprise. The Ingrian i110 DataSecure Platform enables central management and easy integration of encryption—helping organizations achieve PCI compliance quickly and cost-effectively.

“Often specific departments within organizations are under pressure from legislative mandates to better safeguard sensitive information,” said Stacey Quandt, research director, security solutions and services at Aberdeen Group. “Because of this, there is a need for enterprises to be able to cost-effectively deploy encryption solutions in specific locations without requiring massive IT resources. These departments require an encryption solution that is easy to manage and integrate within the organization’s existing software infrastructure.”

Ingrian i110 DataSecure Platform enables users to automate the integration of encryption, securely store and manage keys, offload encryption, authenticate and authorize approved applications, and log and audit all access to sensitive data. Unlike software-based solutions, which store encryption keys on the servers where encrypted data resides, the Ingrian i110 DataSecure Platform stores encryption keys in a centralized fashion, all on a dedicated security appliance—virtually eliminating the possibility of the keys being compromised. Additionally, where software solutions can only be implemented in one location—the database layer—the i110 platform enables organizations to deploy encryption at the Web server, application server, and/or database layers, ensuring that encryption can be more effectively tailored to an organization’s infrastructure, compliance requirements, and security policies.

“Regulations such as PCI and SB 1386 have placed an urgent demand on organizations to employ encryption, and these mandates apply to the Fortune 1000 as well as to small- to medium-sized companies and specific departments within larger organizations,” said Karim Toubba, vice president of product management and corporate strategy for Ingrian Networks. “By offering the i110 at a reduced price point and in a smaller form factor, we’ve created a powerful product that is ideal for organizations that need to safeguard data in specific locations to achieve PCI compliance.”
