LAS VEGAS -- InfoExpress, the leader in policy and configuration enforcement solutions, today announced at the Networld+Interop Conference its plans to revolutionize the Network Access Control (NAC) market by introducing the security world to Dynamic Network Access Control (DNAC). DNAC is an innovative new technology that fills the gap between infrastructure NAC solutions which require significant network changes and updates, and other NAC solutions which are easily bypassed.

“DNAC provides the benefits of network access control without having to choose between massive network reconfiguration for infrastructure NAC and the weaker security offered by host configured NAC solutions,” said Stacey Lum, CEO of InfoExpress. “With its ease of deployment, strong access control, and low impact to the network, Dynamic NAC realizes InfoExpress’s vision to provide a policy-based network access control solution for the LAN that scales from small business to large enterprise without compromising on flexibility or security."

Despite the hype surrounding NAC, infrastructure vendors have yet to deploy their NAC technology on a widespread basis due to the many changes required to the network. Infrastructure approaches typically use switches as enforcement points that require network reconfiguration, maintenance, and operational changes. Other approaches like DHCP proxies and host based firewalls are easier to deploy, but defeated by simple measures such as configuring static IP addresses or not running the firewall on the endpoint.

"Companies want to deploy NAC solutions without the frustrating expenses of heavy network upgrades and multi-year implementation projects,” said Eric Ogren, Senior Security Analyst with Enterprise Strategy Group. “InfoExpress allows organizations to quickly use the existing infrastructure to achieve network access control for all enterprise users."

The new DNAC solution takes a unique approach by dynamically creating packs of enforcers that patrol the network. The enforcers continuously watch for unauthorized endpoints, and immediately isolate them from the rest of the network until they are compliant with security policies. The dynamic groups of enforcers make DNAC easy to deploy, scale from small offices to large enterprise networks, and support managed and unmanaged switches and wireless access points. DNAC does not require infrastructure upgrades, network configuration changes, or adding more network infrastructure.
