The Infoblox-1852 appliance delivers DNS throughput of 110,000 queries per second, which is more than double the performance per dollar of competing solutions. The Infoblox-1852 appliance runs Infoblox's standard NIOS operating system with unique Grid technology that provides automated centralized management and "one-button" patching and upgrades with no downtime. The security-hardened systems provide monitoring and mitigation to defend the service provider network and its customers against DNS cache poisoning attacks. The Infoblox-1852 also includes multiple resilience technologies, such as hardware-based high availability, DNS Anycast, automated disaster recovery, and hot-swappable redundant power supplies. "Service providers and large enterprises face a growing challenge as DNS query loads continue to increase. This is further complicated by ever present threats, like the Kaminsky vulnerability, that can jeopardize DNS infrastructure security and service availability," said Richard Kagan, vice president of marketing at Infoblox. "The new Infoblox-1852 platform gives service providers and enterprises the performance they need at an attractive price, and provides built-in security, resilience and management capabilities that increase uptime and reduce costs."
Pricing and Availability The new Infoblox-1852 appliance platform is now available. Pricing for the appliance with the NS1 package (including DNS, DHCP, IPAM, TFTP/HTTP/FTP and other capabilities) starts at $29,995 in the U.S.
