Identity Engines announced that Pete Selda will join the company as chief executive officer

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Identity Engines, Inc., a leading provider of network identity management solutions, today announced that Pete Selda will join the company as chief executive officer. Selda brings more than 25 years experience in technology, having played key roles in sales, marketing and executive management in startup and large corporate environments.

A proven growth-stage CEO with extensive experience in the security industry, Selda was most recently president and CEO of WholeSecurity, Inc., a provider of behavior-based security and anti-phishing technology. At WholeSecurity, he built the executive team, secured more than $20 million in venture funding and led the company from incubator pre-product stage through the company’s acquisition by Symantec Corporation in October 2005. Prior to WholeSecurity, Selda was president and CEO of Internet Dynamics, an Internet security company focused on enterprise-class security solutions. During his tenure at Internet Dynamics, Selda was responsible for managing corporate growth and direction, and ultimately oversaw the company’s successful acquisition by RedCreek Communications, Inc.

“With more than 30 channel partners signed and over 20 customer deployments in the year to date, the Identity Engines’ Ignition™ network identity management solution is quickly re-shaping the network access marketplace,” said Richard Bush, founder and Chairman of Identity Engines. “Pete brings the exceptional leadership, depth of experience and strategic insight to capitalize on the demand for Ignition. The board and Identity Engines’ management team have complete confidence in Pete’s commitment to the continued success of the company.”

“My goal is to extend Identity Engines’ position in the marketplace. The combination of next generation network identity management technology, the evolution of how companies use and access their networks and an exploding growth market make Identity Engines a compelling opportunity,” said Selda. “Identity Engines has tremendous growth potential and the ability to become the leader in the network identity solutions marketplace.”
