PRESS RELEASE

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—July 9, 2012 -- In a significant move to provide faster, more actionable threat intelligence to its customers, HBGary today announced that it has been certified by Q1 Labs, an IBM company and global provider of security intelligence solutions, for its Security Intelligence Partner Program (SIPP).

“This partnership creates a solutions-oriented approach at the engineering, support and product level between us and partners like HBGary to share information and provide unsurpassed visibility into the latest cyberthreats for the benefit of our joint customers,” said Matt Ward, Senior Product Manager at Q1 Labs, an IBM company.

The Security Intelligence Partner Program allows partners to integrate with IBM’s QRadar Security Intelligence Platform, providing a direct feed of event, asset/vulnerability, configuration management and flow information, as well as the enablement of automated updates. Collaborative testing as part of the SIPP certification process ensures interoperability between HBGary Active Defense™ and the QRadar Security Intelligence Platform.

QRadar Security Intelligence Platform is an intelligent, integrated and automated security solution that provides complete, 360° security intelligence across the entire network.

“Delivering actionable threat intelligence is more than just securing an organization – it is about securing a nation. Staying ahead of today’s persistent adversaries requires close collaboration among vendors, customers and other organizations. HBGary is pleased to join IBM’s Security Intelligence Partner Program and looks forward to working with this industry leader to create new methods to deliver the latest information on today’s adversaries,” said Penny Leavy, Vice President and General Manager, HBGary.

HBGary’s flagship product, Active Defense™ with Digital DNA™ monitors host physical memory, raw disk, and live operating systems concurrently across the enterprise to get an unprecedented view of host-level, new, derivatives of known threats and unknown threats.

When integrated with Active Defense™, the QRadar Security Intelligence Platform can leverage the most advanced threat intelligence available today, alerting on adaptive, APT-style attacks including memory-only rootkits, botnet communications, and other types of advanced exploit tools.
