SAN FRANCISCO -- Today Mocana, a software company that is enabling a secure networked society, announced that ECI Telecom, a global provider of networking infrastructure equipment, has selected Mocana’s Embedded SSH Server to secure its Hi-FOCuS™ Multi-Service Access Node (MSAN). ECI’s Hi-FOCuS provides carriers with an innovative approach for multi-dimensional convergence in the access space and provides access, aggregation, edge services and capabilities to leading carriers worldwide.

As service providers continue offering converged services, Mocana will play a key role in enabling network equipment manufacturers to maximize their support and delivery of these services to end customers by ensuring the security of that networking equipment and edge devices.

Mocana’s Embedded SSH Server provides a clean abstraction layer to ease integration and deployment, enabling the Hi-FOCuS Platform to merge the application layer, the control layer, and the transport layer. As security requirements become increasingly demanding for converged data services, Mocana’s solution enables ECI Telecom to easily integrate new security features into its platform without the need for an administrator to spend time and money installing or managing upgrades.

"Our evaluation of Mocana’s SSH Server clearly outlined how well the Mocana features uniquely complemented our own product set – one that can be positioned to grow with our business,” said Sari Rechav, Vice President for Research & Development for Broadband Access, Network Solutions Division, ECI Telecom. “As we look at our customers’ security challenges, Mocana’s solutions will allow us to meet the needs presented by the increased convergence we’re seeing at all levels of the network.”
