Cyber-Ark Partners With Carahsoft To Deliver IT Security Solutions To Government Sector

Cyber-Ark’s solutions are positioned to help government organizations meet FISMA requirements

NEWTON, Mass. – May 22, 2012 – Cyber-Ark® Software, a leading global information security provider for protecting and managing privileged accounts and sessions, critical applications and sensitive information, today announced it has completed a distribution agreement with Carahsoft Technology Corp., a trusted government IT solutions provider. The agreement enhances Carahsoft’s current cyber security and defense solution offerings by addressing attack vectors that are specifically handled by Cyber-Ark’s Privileged Identity Management, Privileged Session Management and Sensitive Information Management Suites. The distribution includes Cyber-Ark’s full portfolio of award-winning solutions, which will be made available on Carahsoft’s GSA Schedule, GS-35F-0119Y.

“With the recent increase in cyber crime, cyber security has become a top priority for many of our customers and reseller partners, and thus a priority for us,” said Michael Shrader, vice president of Innovative Solutions at Carahsoft. “Adding Cyber-Ark to our GSA Schedule allows us to offer the most comprehensive solutions to protect government agencies against known vulnerabilities – including the increasing number of internal and external threats that are often caused by the mismanagement of privileged accounts or poorly managed sharing of sensitive information.”

As a part of Carahsoft’s GSA Schedule, Cyber-Ark will bolster the firm’s cyber intelligence solutions by providing federal, state and local government agencies with comprehensive solutions for sharing sensitive information and managing privileged identities, accounts and passwords. These privileged access points are often exploited by both insiders and external hackers in order to gain access to and steal high-value data. Cyber-Ark’s solutions are positioned to help government organizations meet FISMA requirements through the automation of NIST 800-53 security controls and seamless integration with leading SIEM tools for correlation and more comprehensive reporting.

“Carahsoft’s rapid growth is testament to the trust the company has built with its customers and partners. There are strong business and cultural synergies between our two companies,” said Richard A. Weeks, vice president of business development and channel sales at Cyber-Ark. “We are proud to be working with a firm that truly understands the full scope of cyber security needs facing government agencies. We look forward to taking advantage of opportunities in this sector as part of Carahsoft’s best of breed business practices and enhanced security intelligence offerings.”
