PRESS RELEASE

October 21, 2015 (Atlanta, GA) --- Bluefin Payment Systems today announced a new partnership with industry-leading payment gateway, USAePay™. The partnership will further enhance data security for companies using the USAePay gateway through with the addition of Bluefin’s Decryptx™ PCI-Validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) service, which protects consumer payment data in transit.

USAePay provides merchants with the best service available, offering an array of different payment solutions for retail, e-commerce, and mobile. USAePay’s payment gateway makes processing transactions fast, easy, and safe with its Level 1 PCI Compliance. USAePay is proud to enforce the latest and strictest security requirements in the payment industry and works on developing the newest methods for accepting payments securely.

“We are thrilled to be working with Bluefin on this P2PE solution,” stated Martin Drake, EVP of USAePay. “This technology is essential for large integrated service providers, and will complement our existing suite of value-added services”.

Decryptx PCI-validated P2PE secures card transactions by encrypting all data within a PCI-approved point of entry swipe or keypad device, preventing clear-text cardholder data from being available in the device or the merchant’s system where it could be exposed to malware. Bluefin became the first North American PCI-validated P2PE solution provider in March 2014 and in November, the company introduced Decryptx, its Decryption as a Service (DaaS) P2PE product. Decryptx provides all of the security of Bluefin’s PCI-validated P2PE solution suite with no change to a merchant’s processing or acquiring relationship.

“Point-of-Sale Malware is top of mind for payment gateways such as USAePay, who understand that this is where the data breach threat lies,” said Greg Cornwell, Senior Vice President, Security Solutions at Bluefin. “They know that the only way to fully secure consumer data, in an era of increasingly sophisticated cyber-criminals, is through technologies like PCI-validated P2PE. We are delighted that USAePay has chosen to reduce PCI scope and secure their data with Bluefin’s Decryptx.”

Bluefin is a Participating Organization (PO) of the PCI Council and a validated Level 1 PCI DSS Compliant Service Provider. The company’s Chief Innovation Officer, Ruston Miles, assisted with the development of the recently updated P2PE standard, as part of an industry feedback group for PCI SSC.

“Providing client solutions that are as safe as they possibly can be is central to our work at USAePay,” said Mr. Drake. “Decryptx will be an essential component of our suite of security solutions and one that our customers can rely on to protect them from even the most sophisticated Point-of-Sale Malware attacks.”

Through the partnership, USAePay clients will have access to PCI-validated P2PE through the USAePay gateway, with Bluefin providing the devices, key injection, shipping and chain of custody requirements.
