SUPERIOR, Colo. -- StillSecure®, provider of an award- winning, integrated suite of enterprise network security solutions, today announced that American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) is using StillSecure Safe Access™ for network access control (NAC). AAO selected Safe Access for its flexibility, ease-of-use, and ability to integrate into their heterogeneous network environment.

Each year AAO conducts a security assessment and penetration test to determine vulnerabilities and other threats to the network. This year’s results confirmed that the biggest risk to their network is the external threat. Given the large number of teleworkers logging onto the network using company-owned or personal computers, AAO’s perimeter defense system wasn’t nearly as strong as it should be.
