Sure, we may not be having large, extended family gatherings this Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, but one thing the pandemic can't stop us from is shopping online. And that seems to be the plan, with online sales predicted to reach $189 billion this year, up 33% over 2019.

Consumers can have fun shopping this holiday season – but they also need to take precautions and understand that attackers lie in wait.

The following seven online shopping and cyber-hygiene tips can help you stay safe as you get ready to buy. The good news: Sooner or later, 2020 will end. Better that it ends without you getting hacked.
