Google has released an important patch for its Chrome browwer. If you're running Chrome, patch now.Chrome, Google's browser has received a patch that addresses security issues, including a JavaScript vulnerability whose severity a Google developer blog describes as high.

The patch is available via the Tools dropdown (the wrench icon)in Chrome: 1. Click the Tools button(wrench)

2 Click About Google Chrome

3. Chrome will check for an update and, if one is available, offer you an update button.

4. The patched version of Chrome is 1.0.154.46 Earlier versions contain the vulnerability; if you're running Chrome, update it now.

Simple enough, but not as simple as it could -- and, I think, should -- be.

How about a separate update button upfront? Or at least a more informative path to the update than clicking About Google Chrome, which sounds more like a pr link than a patch path?

If you're running Chrome -- and it's well worth a look if you're not -- don't miss bMighty's Chrome coverage:
