RALEIGH, N.C. -- With 10-Gigabit Ethernet showing signs of becoming the general purpose successor to Gigabit Ethernet, CipherOptics, the leading innovator of solutions for Protecting Data in Motion™, is poised to launch the industry’s first 10 Gig IPsec encryption solution, providing global enterprises with a highly resilient, low latency solution for scalable encryption to protect the core. Overcoming industry challenges to the deployment of gigabit encryption in WAN environments, CipherOptics’ 10 Gig IPsec encryption solution enables global enterprises to maintain granular control over the traffic streams to be encrypted.

Enterprises moving to 10 Gig Ethernet are collapsing independent Ethernet networks into one corporate backbone. Voice networks, storage networks and corporate email networks are sharing the same high speed connections. The CipherOptics 10G encryption solution allows customers the ability to encrypt traffic by available bandwidth. An example could be voice data - a customer can allocate 2 G for encrypted voice traffic and allow the other bandwidth to be shared by any other traffic type, or the entire bandwidth can be shared by all traffics types.

With security breaches rising and network boundaries disappearing, the market is demanding a more comprehensive approach to scalable encryption. With the upcoming launch of its 10 gigabit encryption solution, CipherOptics’ is providing global enterprises with the functionality and support to secure their data in motion as it has never been possible before with an approach that optimizes traffic selection, encrypts the Ethernet or IP stream, is fault tolerant and offers transparent installation.

“CipherOptics has long been an innovator in securing private data and as such, we are proud to offer the first encryption solution that is scalable from 10Mbps to 10Gbps, providing our customers further ability in deploying encryption throughout WAN and LAN environments,” said Ron Willis, President and CEO of CipherOptics. “This solution will provide organizations the necessary speed and control needed to encrypt data across traffic streams and prevent the likelihood of data compromise.”
