CHICAGO, Ill. -- Authentify Inc., the leader in out-of-band authentication solutions, today announced that Beatport (www.beatport.com), a provider of premium electronic music downloads, has selected Authentify to secure online registrations at its web store and prevent fraud. The Authentify service will verify the identity of certain users attempting to create new accounts using a real-time authentication method that combines an automated phone call with a web service.

With a global presence in the online music community, Beatport provides over 5,500 new tracks each week for DJs and music lovers, keeping it the most relevant online source of electronic music in the world.

"We wanted to be able to verify the identity of users attempting to register at our online store, while still keeping the registration process convenient," said Julia Rhodes, vice president of application development for Beatport. "Authentify provided a simple yet highly reliable way to strengthen the registration process without the need for additional staffing resources."
