PRESS RELEASE

WALTHAM, Mass. ' Q1 Labs, a global provider of security information and event management (SIEM) products, today announced a new release of QRadar, the company's flagship network security management solution, that greatly eliminates the time-consuming complexity and hidden costs associated with competing, first-generation SIEM tools.

In an economy where organizations and their IT departments are being asked to do much more with a lot less, QRadar 6.2 includes greatly enhanced automated capabilities, expanded reports, and increased out-of-the-box functionality that allows users to quickly derive real value, immediate benefits, and a quick return on investment from their SIEM purchase.

"Today, we are delivering the industry's most cost-effective, fully functional SIEM solution available that addresses the needs of enterprises of all sizes," said Brendan Hannigan, president and COO of Q1 Labs. "Unlike competitors' first-gen products, QRadar converges multiple solutions into one comprehensive offering, is very easy to use, automates large amounts of functionality, includes innumerable, 'situation-ready' rules and reports, and doesn't require an army of expensive professional services personnel to get up and running weeks later."

"I was already impressed with QRadar as a product, but the enhanced capabilities of QRadar 6.2 take an already superior SIEM solution to another level," said William McGlasson, information security administrator at SELCO Community Credit Union, a Eugene, Oregon-based financial services cooperative with more than 80,000 members. "With the release of QRadar 6.2, Q1 Labs has provided its customers with a rare blend of ease-of-use, flexibility, and automation, as well as the ability to create custom dashboards, that eliminates complex deployments and excessive costs ' plus 6.2 delivers improved efficiencies through its simplified operation. I give high marks to Q1 Labs' engineers."

QRadar 6.2 Enhancements

Built on a foundation of auto-discovery and auto-tuning, QRadar 6.2 provides the capabilities required for users to mine more value from their log and flow data, and includes the following major product enhancements and features:

More than 1,300 out-of-the-box reports that directly correspond to 100 of the market's most widely deployed vendors and their corresponding products, including: applications and databases, network infrastructure platforms, security devices, and identity and access management products.

Hundreds of easy-to-use, pre-defined rules, log, and flow search filters ' as well as reports ' that immediately map to the industry's most pressing security challenges, such as: compliance validation, fraud detection, threat detection, and application layer visibility.

Customers or prospects concerned about fraudulent activity by internal users or disgruntled employees, for example, can immediately benefit from QRadar's 6.2's preconfigured rules and alerts that detect fraudulent behavior " like host login failures from an expired user account " without having to specify the type of host, type of message, area of the network, or even having to turn the rule on.

Availability and Pricing

QRadar 6.2 is available immediately at a starting U.S. list price of $17,900.
