Jim Zimmermann is Skillsoft's Solution Principal, IT & Digital Skills. Jim has been with Skillsoft for 12 years and has supported many of the Skillsoft's largest IT training customers.

Jim has more than 40 years of experience in IT and telecommunications and has started and sold three successful IT and media businesses. Jim also wrote the first commercially available email system for the IBM PC (before the days of the Internet) and helped develop the first color publishing system that ran on off-the-shelf Unix workstations. Jim is a successful analyst and writer and has written dozens of articles over the years for a number of IT publications and he has written technical white papers for many leading IT and telecom companies.

Jim is an avid bicycle rider and he is on the Board of Directors for several organizations building "rail trails" in the Lakes Region of NH. He is also the founder of Lakes Region Bicycling – a group that promotes bicycle riding in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
