Citizens Bank ATM and others targeted in the scheme.

A Springfield, Mass., man has pleaded guilty in US District Court for his role in an ATM jackpotting scheme in Connecticut and other locations.
Argenys Rodriguez, 22, has admitted to one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud. Rodriguez and Alex Alberto Fajin-Diaz, 32, were apprehended on Jan. 28 in Cromwell, Conn., after Citizens Bank reported a possible ATM attack on one of its machines. The men were found near the malware-infiltrated ATM, which was dispensing $20 bills, and had in their vehicle tools and electronic devices typically used in ATM jackpotting attacks.
Rodriguez will be sentenced on Sept. 26 and faces a maximum prison term of 30 years. Fajin-Diaz, who is a citizen of Spain, also pleaded guilty and has not yet been sentenced.
