Apple Buys Fleetsmith

The fleet management company becomes part of Apple in a deal announced today.

Fleetsmith, a company specializing in Apple device fleet management, has been acquired by Apple in a deal announced today. Fleetsmith's services include deploying, updating, and managing computers running macOS, while providing fleet intelligence on iOS and tvOS devices.

In a blog post, Fleetsmith executives wrote that they look forward to continuing to offer the company's services to a growing customer base, indicating the possibility that Fleetsmith will continue to provide its services rather than being completely subsumed into other Apple offerings.

Details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
