PRESS RELEASE

Edison, NJ " March 9, 2009 " netForensics, Inc., a leader in the Information Security Management market, today announced several significant enhancements to its flagship nFX Security Information Management solution, nFX SIM One. nFX SIM One version 4.1, available immediately, now provides customers with integration to HP's Configuration Management Database (CMDB), bi-directional communication with HP OpenView, support for either 32 or 64 bit hardware, and deeper integration with helpdesk products such as Remedy. In addition, the new version also offers several enhancements for Managed Security Providers (MSPs) such as the ability to install multiple instances of nFX SIM One's Rules Based Correlation Engines (RBCs), allowing customization of security policy down to the customer level and improved failover capabilities.

netForensics provides critical security and compliance data to CMDB and makes enhanced configuration, change and patch management prioritization, as well as root cause analysis, available to the entire HP software offering, thus creating the only self aware CMDB in the marketplace. Customers can now benefit from reduced complexity and cost associated with provisioning, change management and incident response. With the release of v4.1, nFX SIM One's Incident Resolution Manager (IRM) now provides bi-directional communication with HP OpenView Operations (OVO). As in previous product versions, users can create incident cases and forward them to HP OVO. With bi-directional communication, analysts can be assured of accurate status reporting for these forwarded incidents.

Other new features include 32/64 bit support (or a combination of both) to allow users to install collectors and engines on 32 or 64 bit hardware depending on organizational requirements, deeper integration with Remedy trouble ticketing to increase the efficiency of opening and closing tickets, and increased usability within the user interface to bookmark tabs.

"These new capabilities demonstrate our ability to execute on our technology vision. No other SIEM provides the level of comprehensive workflow with regards to mitigation and remediation" said Tracy Hulver, Vice President of Products and Marketing at netForensics. "Not only do we have one of the industry's most robust SIEM architectures, but no other SIEM can effectively address issues related to cloud security/security-as-a-service, hosting providers, and MSPs."

To remain competitive, MSPs need to meet customer demands for addressing growing compliance requirements, along with the ongoing need for real-time security analysis of and defense against external and internal threats. With today's announcement, netForensics' nFX SIM One solution enables MSPs to install multiple RBCs to spread the load of memory intensive correlation by assigning one correlation engine per customer or group of customers.
