PRESS RELEASE

SAN FRANCISCO -- September 12, 2012 -- nCircle, the leader in information risk and security performance management solutions, today announced the immediate availability of nCircle Configuration Compliance Manager&trade version 5.12. This release adds the ability to audit Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010 configurations, extends Solaris configuration auditing to support Solaris 11 and adds a variety of new configuration auditing policies.

Auditing the configurations of IT systems and monitoring changes in those configurations is a critical step in reducing security risk and achieving compliance. nCircle Configuration Compliance Manager automates configuration auditing, change monitoring and configuration compliance processes, providing a clear picture of system configurations and the impact of configuration changes on compliance. Configuration Compliance Manager utilizes a completely agentless architecture, requiring no software installation on monitored endpoints. Agentless monitoring dramatically reduces deployment costs and makes it possible to profile every device on the network, delivering the most comprehensive coverage and the lowest cost of ownership. Configuration Compliance Manager includes a rich library of policies based on standards and benchmarks from NIST, CIS, DISA and Microsoft, as well as policies for specific regulations such as PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, USGCB and NERC.

"Email is the primary channel for sensitive information exchange within an organization," noted Tim Erlin, director of product management and IT risk and security strategist for nCircle. "The addition of Microsoft Exchange auditing allows nCircle customers to better secure and manage these critical business systems. Configuration Compliance Manager's unique agentless auditing helps automate compliance and reduce risk across the breadth of systems found in large enterprises."

Microsoft Exchange Scan Module

According to the Radicati Group, on-premise Microsoft Exchange server deployments accounted for 76% of the 360 million email boxes worldwide in 2011. CCM 5.12 is the only agentless configuration compliance tool that can audit a variety of Microsoft Exchange Server configurations against a wide range of best practice standards in order to raise the level of security, ensure integrity, and to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
