PRESS RELEASE

STERLING, Va.--May 28, 2013 – Fixmo, a leading provider of mobile security and risk management solutions, today announced full support for the newly ratified Apple iOS 6 Security Technology Implementation Guide (STIG) for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The Fixmo Enterprise Mobility Platform&trade (Fixmo EMP&trade) provides a suite of mobility services that enable DoD agencies to meet the full range of security requirements for compliant use of iPhones and iPads for secure mobile email and business applications.

The news comes as the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has approved the Apple iOS 6 STIG – security guidelines dictating approved usage of hardware and software products within the DoD. In addition to Apple iOS, the DoD recently approved the use of Samsung KNOX devices, including its Galaxy S4 smartphone, and has allowed the use of BlackBerry devices by employees when coupled with Fixmo Sentinel for device integrity verification. With full support for the Apple iOS STIG, Fixmo becomes the first mobile security vendor that can enable DoD agencies to address the full range of security requirements across the mobile STIGs for Apple, Samsung and BlackBerry devices.

"With the newly ratified STIGs for Apple and Samsung devices, U.S Government agencies can now embrace the latest commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) mobile devices for a growing range of applications and services that can truly transform how they do business," said Bob Gourley, Publisher of CTOvision.com and former CTO of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). "Through its CRADA with the NSA and full support for each of these mobile STIGs, Fixmo is well positioned to become a key partner in helping Government agencies embrace the next wave of mobility in a secure and compliant manner."

Fixmo EMP addresses the full range of security requirements specified in the Apple iOS 6 STIG, including:

· Secure Container with Smart Card Support for protecting all business-related email and mobile applications with end-to-end FIPS 140-2 data encryption, two-factor authentication, advanced policy controls, and the ability to remotely wipe all business data in response to a security threat

· Device Integrity Scanning through its patented Fixmo Sentinel Integrity Services

· Mobile Device Management (MDM) for IT policy configuration and tight control over usage of WiFi and Bluetooth connections

· Mobile Application Management for secure distribution and management of mobile apps

"The DoD is under increasing pressure to allow employees to choose from a range of mobile devices, and they are also seeing tremendous opportunity to leverage the iOS and Android platforms to take mobility beyond email," said Bruce Gilley, President, Fixmo U.S. "Fixmo is proud to offer the first solution in the market that can enable DoD agencies to confidently embrace Apple and Samsung devices while ensuring they can meet the strict security requirements of the mobile STIGs."

This announcement comes on the heels of last month's news of an agreement with the U.S. Air Force to provide technologies to ensure secure mobile communications and safe access to mission critical applications on a range of mobile devices and tablets.
