re: Top 15 Indicators Of Compromise
In compromises involving credit card information, evidence is often identified on compromised hosts where a random file has appeared in a temp location or somewhere not commonly monitored by File Integrity Monitoring This was seen in a large-scale compromise back in 2009.

The temp file often represents where the harvested card numbers is being stored. Sometimes the intruder doesn't always cover their tracks well and will leave these files in clear-text.

However many intruders will attempt to cover their tracks by encrypting their storage files which becomes another common tell-tail sign of a compromise.

So the lesson is, if unexplainable encrypted files or files full of cardholder data are discovered within your network, begin an investigation immediately.

Great discussion on IOCs! There is now a Open Source Database collecting IOC's for the public to upload, download and comment on different IOC. We could use the communities help finding new IOC to make public at http://IOCBucket.com

We also have a Twitter and Facebook account IOCBucket
