Re: For 99% it is not priority
One thing companys could do would be to incorporate their SecDevOps security practices in the very beginning of their SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) models, this will help to alleviate some of the problems associated with security and it will help to reduce costs because the number devices and applications needed to secure an application could be reduce by bring in SecDevOps groups during the initial phases of the application development/implementation process.

In that light, projects are viewed for their output and expediency not their security. Yes. Security is pure expense at the beginning.

most companies are looking at the upfront dollars of what their new product will net them instead of big picture Agree. Security is always seen at the expense part of the equation, so hard to convince people holding the money in the organization.

Re: For 99% it is not priority
Unfortunately this is all too true most of the time. Best practice security needs to be ingrained in implementation but most companies are looking at the upfront dollars of what their new product will net them instead of big picture what could implementing this securely save us in the long run. In that light, projects are viewed for their output and expediency not their security. At least generally, not in all cases.

For 99% it is not priority
