I couldn't have said it better
There needs to be more fines imposed, at the end of the day, user's data has been compromised. So that tells me that they have not taken the precautions to prevent breaches from internal or external actors.

This continues to happen to the only fine they get is a slap on the wrist and credit services. I am with the first respondent, where is the accountability. GDPR is in place for UK organizations, why is it not in place for the US. I think FTC is trying to take up the mantle but it is a slow process.
