For cybersecurity vendors, this provides a means for their subject matter experts to share their knowledge Agree. Vendors are the experts, they have the knowledge to close the gap.

Education
Closing the skills gap involves educating not just those within the education system or the future work force but also current employees who may be unwittingly weakening the company's security posture. This is really a good point, current employees could be good resources to make the shift to security.

Education is for everybody
Fully agree - everybody can and should learn. If you read - you remember 10%, if you practice doing- you are up to 75%.  Vendors' training is the best place to take people up the learning pyramid by running real cyber scenarios with vendors' tools
