Target's Catch - 22 and IT Enlightenment
While I am happy some restitution is being offered. The issue is always in the details.

I have heard news accounts that you need to provide a receipt before you can get any of this money. Who keeps their target receipts for long ?

Also nice to hear that they plan on running their IT as an IT department. Apparently discovering after the fact that a chief information security officer role does actually exist.

Never to be outdone, the 10mil appears to be funded in a large part by recent layoffs and I assume to cover the cost of the newly minted CISO position.

Target. I am not impressed.
