Re: The Recorded Age
Matt Richtel does a few mini-series on the detriments of multi-tasking and correlates many of the studies to technology. If you Google, Matt Richtel Multi-tasking NY Times you will be inundated with data on this matter.

The article is called "Multitasking takes toll on memory, study finds."

I tried copying and pasting the link in here but it wouldn't allow me.

Re: The Recorded Age
I think to some extent the increase in technology is hindering our intellectual growth. I feel that these things are becoming more of a distraction than a benefit in some cases.

As a side note, the NY Times has a great article as to why multi-tasking isn't as efficient as performing tasks in a serial fashion. The same holds true for technology.

The Recorded Age
We live in a digital era where of course everything will be recorded in some form. Though my guess is that half those tablet users are watching YouTube!

Re: Been there..
You have to start recording at the beginning of the presentation because if you find it was worth recording at the end it's too late. There is no cost for speculative recording.

The next frame of the cartoon will show a message about inappropriate exposure of personal information such as names and pictures on the whiteboard, and there will be a lot of embarrassed attendees hiding their tablets in the background.

Re: Been there..
Good point,@grimwiz. Do you users would really be using their tablets to capture a security awareness training preso? It would have to be a pretty good presentation!

Re: Been there..
The 12 inch samsung galaxy pro is as large as the tablets in the cartoon, fast with lots of storage so it's probably very handy to capture a presentation and share it on YouTube.

I want to know where to get a tablet with that large a screen!

(Maybe they're the old "convertibles.")

The 10 Most Impactful Types of Vulnerabilities for Enterprises Today
Managing system vulnerabilities is one of the old est - and most frustrating - security challenges that enterprise defenders face. Every software application and hardware device ships with intrinsic flaws - flaws that, if critical enough, attackers can exploit from anywhere in the world. It's crucial that defenders take stock of what areas of the tech stack have the most emerging, and critical, vulnerabilities they must manage. It's not just zero day vulnerabilities. Consider that CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog lists vulnerabilitlies in widely used applications that are "actively exploited," and most of them are flaws that were discovered several years ago and have been fixed. There are also emerging vulnerabilities in 5G networks, cloud infrastructure, Edge applications, and firmwares to consider.
