FishNet Rolls Out SIEM Service

Managed security service supports leading SIEM solutions from either RSA and Q1 Labs

KANSAS CITY, MO - FishNet Security today announced availability of its Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) managed security service. With this new service, customers can outsource their SIEM initiatives to qualified security experts, thereby cutting SIEM management costs by as much as 40 percent while significantly improving network security, compliance, reporting and threat management capabilities. FishNet Security's customizable managed SIEM service supports leading SIEM solutions from either RSA (the Security Division of EMC) or Q1 Labs to address each customer's unique network requirements. In addition, FishNet Security provides its customers with 24/7 visibility into their SIEM operations via a customizable Web-based portal.

"It's no secret that corporate networks are constantly under attack in search of information that can be used maliciously. This constant attempt to exploit vulnerabilities must be counteracted, and after considering available options, we selected a SIEM managed solution that would enable us to stay ahead of the latest threats and raise our security posture," said Paul Telle, Lead Infosec Administrator with Arch Coal. "The information delivered by FishNet Security's experts enables us to manage the latest threats, achieve compliance and provides our organization with a level of confidence and assurance."

FishNet Security built its SIEM managed security service on RSA's (the Security Division of EMC) enVision and Q1 Lab's QRadar solutions, both recognized by Gartner as "Leaders" in the 2009 SIEM Magic Quadrant. FishNet Security offers customers their choice of these two industry-leading solutions because each offers the flexibility to seamlessly integrate into existing customer networks and is recognized for its strengths in overall SIEM delivery.

"Organizations operating within regulated environments are turning to SIEM solutions to address their network security, compliance, threat management, and 24/7 security event monitoring requirements. Unfortunately, many are finding that they don't have the experience, expertise or extensive resources required to effectively manage these critical initiatives," said Gary Fish, FishNet Security CEO. "Our new managed security service provides a cost-effective solution that reduces annual management costs by as much as 40 percent. By combining leading-edge event management products with an unmatched level of security management expertise, we provide customers with security, compliance, and threat management 24 hours a day, seven days a week."
