The passwordless technology provider says the funding will be used to increase its reach and expand primary business functions.
Transmit Security announced today it has raised $543M in Series A funding.
This funding round is said to be the largest in in cybersecurity history and one of the highest valuations for a bootstrapped company, according to a release from Transmit. It brings the company's pre-money valuation to $2.2 billion.
The funding was led by Insight Partners and General Atlantic, with additional investment from Cyberstarts, Geodesic, SYN Ventures, Vintage, and Artisanal Ventures. Transmit Security says it will use the funding to increase the company's reach and expand its primary business functions.
The passwordless technology space has been a busy one in recent months. Other players in the space have also secured funding recently, including Beyond Identity, which raised $75M in 2020. 1Kosmos secured a $15M Series A in February.
