PRESS RELEASE

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Silicium Security will be launching its new flagship product, ECAT, in the United States at the RSA Conference 2011 in San Francisco. ECAT is an Enterprise Signature-Less Malware Detection system that has been designed to provide a solution to the increased problem of advanced malware and rootkits going undetected by traditional antivirus programs. Originally developed for national government security agencies in North America, Europe and Asia, ECAT has been deployed at high-security infrastructure installations topping thousands of Window-based PCs. The new ECAT version demonstrated at the RSA Conference (booth 2750) has been specifically adapted for use in enterprise environments featuring a unique Live Memory Analysis and Anomaly Detection system with unprecedented depth, capable of detecting the most advanced malware often missed by traditional security solutions. We are excited to launch ECAT, our new enterprise malware detection solution at one of the most prestigious IT security events, says Pascal Longpr, president of Silicium Security. During our ten years in the IT security industry, we have learned that security technologies must move deep within the computer memory in order to catch advanced malware. Signature-based technologies have long reached their limits considering the rate at which new malware is released. By combining cutting-edge technologies such as advanced rootkit detection, live memory analysis, process tracking and anomaly detection with traditional approaches like reputation validation, antivirus signatures and environment correlation, we can effectively catch these threats without the need for signature updates."

Unlike recent attacks and security breaches highlighted by the Anonymous group and security firm HBGary, most attacks now go unnoticed for long periods of time and are never made public. Hackers want to remain in control of their victim's computers for as long as possible in order to get the most out of their time and financial investment. ECAT has been designed to successfully thwart these attacks, no matter how complex they are.
