PRESS RELEASE

MAHWAH, New Jersey, December 8, 2008 - RAD Data Communications announced today that the company has broadened its portfolio with a best-in-breed trio of new products that complement its already extensive line of network access solutions. These new products include the Mail-SeCure email security appliance, the PL-400 CWDM/DWDM mux, and the V-STOR and V-Switch iSCSI SAN solutions.

Mark Housman, RAD's vice president of sales, explains, "Our channel partners have been extremely eager to broaden and diversify their RAD offerings. In adding these new products to our lineup, we are enabling them to deliver a more complete solution to customers while generating new revenue streams."

Adds RAD president Uri Zilberman, "We chose to add these products because they are a natural expansion of our product line and will help expand our market reach by rounding out our portfolio. They are well suited to our customer base and channel partners, and deliver superior price/performance ratios."

The Mail-SeCure provides corporate e-mail security by blocking threats at the perimeter, before they infiltrate an organization's network. It protects organizations from both non-targeted threats (spam, viruses, worms, malicious code, etc.) and targeted threats (mail bombing, denial of service backscatter, open relay, etc.). Mail-SeCure's 11 anti-spam and five anti-virus engines are active simultaneously, resulting in a greater than 98 percent catch rate with less than one in 10,000 false positives. Mail-SeCure models vary by the number of users they can support, and there is no additional per-user pricing.

The PL-400 CWDM/DWDM Mux is a highly cost-effective and flexible access/transport device for multiplexing up to eight high-speed services including storage, data, voice, and video in any mix over fiber, with each service configured independently. Supporting both CWDM and DWDM technologies, the PL-400 is ideal for enterprise campus environments as well as for service provider delivery of high-bandwidth services. With its wide variety of SFP interfaces and stacking capability, the PL-400 provides an economical pay-as-you-grow architecture.

The V-STOR iSCSI Storage and V-Switch iSCSI SAN is an iSCSI storage solution optimized for VMware and Hyper-V server virtualization. Similarly, the V-Switch provides iSCSI SAN connectivity for physical and virtual servers, connecting to any type of storage to create a single scalable virtual storage pool. Both products provide uninterrupted access to data without IT intervention, increase storage utilization and deliver significant cost savings, in power, cooling, space, management, operations, and more.
