LANDesk plans to acquire user virtualization company AppSense. This marks the seventh acquisition in five years for endpoint management and security vendor LANDesk.

AppSense offers virtual device integration, user profile management, and mobile content management.

"This acquisition is a great strategic fit for LANDesk," said Steve Daly, CEO of LANDesk. The addition of AppSense will "strengthen" LANDesk's virtualization expertise as well as extend its endpoint security offerings, he said.

Terms of the deal were not announced. For more information on the acquisition, see the press release here
