PRESS RELEASE

(ATLANTA, Ga " February 9, 2009) SecureWorks', the industry's leading Security-as-a-Service provider, has launched a new service called Compliance Central, aimed at simplifying and automating the vendor risk management process. Organizations that have affiliates like vendors, service providers, franchisees, channel partners, electric distributors, etc. can use Compliance Central to develop and administer self-assessment questionnaires, which their affiliates can use to attest to security policies and procedures they have in place. Compliance Central will house all their compliance documentation in a centralized, secure portal. This new service provides clients with a cost-effective way of managing workflow for thousands of affiliates. Additionally, when affiliates have to facilitate communication with their managing organizations, complete questionnaires or upload documentation attesting to their security policies and procedures, Compliance Central will allow them to do so with ease and confidentiality.

"Compliance Central is an ideal service for organizations and their affiliates," said Corey Merchant, vice president of product management at SecureWorks. "Managing organizations have the most dynamic view within the portal, allowing them to create programs to track their affiliates' compliance process or select from a template. This is a very manual and costly process without a service like Compliance Central, especially if they have hundreds of affiliates to manage. Affiliate organizations who have to demonstrate that they're compliant with today's standards can map their controls to best practices established by regulators like the Payment Card Industry (PCI), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), etc."

"Part of vendor risk management deals with ensuring your affiliates exercise appropriate levels of due diligence in identifying and remediating risks and threats in their respective operating environments," explained Erik Petersen, vice president of professional services at SecureWorks. "Having a software-as-a-service like Compliance Central helps to facilitate the due diligence process. Because of the number of relationships, shared resources and confidential information flowing between the managing organizations and the affiliate organizations, it's important that all entities ensure the highest levels of security in their operations. This means all entities must provide assurance that their environments are secure and that they're not exposing their partners to risks or threats."

Compliance Central is delivered by SecureWorks through a secure Web interface, and the client doesn't have to acquire, support and maintain hardware, operating systems or databases.
