SailPoint, an identity governance company, has purchased startups Orkus and OverWatchID for a total of $37.5 million. Integration of the two companies' technologies into the SailPoint Predictive Identity Platform is expected to be completed in the first half of 2020.

Orkus technology uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to continuously monitor patterns of access relationships for each enterprise cloud resource. OverWatchID uses activity information to beef up access controls, especially as they occur in the cloud. Orkus and OverWatchID will be completely integrated into SailPoint.
