Rapid7 has reached an agreement to buy DivvyCloud, a cloud security posture management (CSPM) vendor, in a transaction worth approximately $145 million in cash and stock. Rapid7, which provides security analytics and automation, expects the deal to close this second quarter.

DivvyCloud bills its services as protecting customers from misconfiguration, policy violations, external and internal threats, and identity and access management issues. DivvyCloud's services are available for cloud and container services from vendors including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Alibaba Cloud, and Kubernetes.

In a statement, Rapid7 said purchasing DivvyCloud will allow it to better address the growing need for organizations to secure multicloud environments.
