Major updates include the addition of OS X support and a 10 gigabits-per-second (Gbps) sensor interface on standard servers. Lastline offers its security service as an annual subscription, so all new features in 6.0 are included in the existing price per user, making scaling breach detection both flexible and predictable for enterprise customers.
Since March 2012, Lastline has analyzed millions of files and measured hockey-stick growth in the volume of evasive malware -- with the rise in evasive behaviors detected increasing by more than 2,000% since December 2013. Today’s updates enhance the capabilities of the Lastline Breach Detection Platform to even more quickly and accurately detect, block and respond to active breaches in enterprise networks -- including zero-day threats from evasive malware likeWiper.

The software-based Lastline Breach Detection Platform is comprised of network sensors, a next-generation sandbox engine, an incident response manager and a real-time threat intelligence knowledge base. The ability to configure an unlimited number of sensors for 10Gbps networks is now included in Lastline 6.0, in addition to the previously available 4 x 1Gbps sensor configuration. Lastline network sensors can monitor multiple protocols including web, email and file protocols.
