PRESS RELEASE

Endgame, the leader in unified endpoint protection against targeted attacks, today announced the appointment of Ian McShane as Vice President of Product Marketing, bringing his extensive background in endpoint security and endpoint detection and response solutions to the executive team.

McShane has nearly two decades of experience in operational IT and security and riskplanning for enterprises, service providers and software vendors. He is a recognized leader for his ability to help organizations scale their security programs and bring products to market.

“Ian has been one of the world’s foremost authorities working with enterprises to make the most of their investments in security technology,” said Nate Fick, CEO of Endgame. “During the time he spent helping customers cut through the noise in a crowded market, he learned a tremendous amount about Endgame. While he could have joined any number of endpoint security companies, he chose Endgame based on the strength of our vision, exceptional technology and talented team. I’m delighted to welcome him at this exciting time as we continue accelerating the growth of our business.”

During his tenure at Gartner, McShane specialized in research focused on assessing the impact of emerging technologies for security operations, breach detection and incident response. Prior to joining Gartner, he led Global Product Marketing and Product Management teams at Symantec for over 11 years, with a focus on email security, web security, endpoint security and advanced threat protection.

In his new role, Ian will continue to speak and write about the most important factors enterprises must consider in the defense of their organizations, and will share his insights with Endgame prospects and customers, the practitioner community, partners and analysts.

“End-user organizations find the endpoint protection market disappointingly complex and confusing. There are an exceptionally large number of vendors with very little differentiation between them,” said McShane. “Endgame is one of the rare exceptions with a focus on transparency, technical excellence, and most importantly - delivering advanced protection and detection capabilities to customers of all sizes through better user experience. I’m excited to join Endgame and its incredibly talented malware research, engineering and product teams.”
