Joe Biden's presidential campaign has hired two security officers to help address cybersecurity threats. The campaign announced that it has hired Chris DeRusha as CISO and Jacky Chang as CTO.
DeRusha came to the role after serving as CSO for the state of Michigan. Before that, he served in the White House, the Department of Homeland Security, and Ford Motor Company.
Chang is taking unpaid leave from her role as senior technologist at Schmidt Futures to join the campaign. She previously was a senior engineer on the Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, and is a former member of the Democratic National Committee's voter protection team.
