CARLSBAD, Calif. – July 25, 2012 – BeyondTrust, the security industry’s only provider of Context-Aware Security Intelligence, today announced the release of Retina CS 3.5. The new release offers multi-tenant support for managed security service providers (MSSP), giving them the ability to further extend product capabilities and offerings to their customers. This includes enhanced protection agent deployment and policy management for multi-tenant support for mobile connectors and Retina Insight.

The new offering has also extended its support for cloud connectors with support for IBM’s SmartCloud, which extends existing support for private cloud VMware vCenter, Amazon EC, RackSpace and GoGrid. Retina CS continues to be the first and only vulnerability management solution to integrate private cloud security into existing vulnerability management practices, providing organizations complete visibility and management of all vulnerabilities.

With Retina CS 3.5, BeyondTrust allows users to easily and efficiently visualize the before and after effects of remediation recommendations. This is made possible by Retina CS’s advanced reporting engine, Retina Insight, which provides additional multi-tenant reporting capabilities, expanded heat map functionality and integration of heat maps into the threat analyzer interface.

In addition, Retina CS 3.5 also increased the number of ‘foundational’ smart rules allowing customers to quickly view important resources within the organization such as mail and database servers, domain controllers, new assets, and critical mobile vulnerabilities.

Retina CS can also be deployed as a security appliance. The newly available UVM50 appliance provides additional processing power and storage capacity, designed to meet the demands of the largest enterprise vulnerability management deployments. Added UVM role assignments allow enterprise deployment additional scalability features as well.

In conjunction with BeyondTrust’s latest offering, PowerBroker Mobile, Retina CS 3.5 now offers an added new connector to a complete mobile device provisioning and configuration platform. PowerBroker Mobile is the first product to integrate Retina CS technology since the successful acquisition of eEye Digital Security.
