A veteran of cybersecurity, Paul Shomo currently serves as Sr. Technical Manager, 3rd Party Technologies of OpenText, a provider of Enterprise Information Management (EIM). Shomo joined OpenText through the acquisition of Guidance Software in 2017. He has more than 15 years as a software engineer with experience working in security and forensics, networking, and storage, and several years managing strategic partnerships and advising on M&A activity. For Guidance Software, Shomo managed integration partners, performed due diligence for M&A, and managed a machine learning grant with CalTech. In 2006 he had been recruited into the R&D group at Guidance Software, which launched the industry's first incident response product. Shomo then spent years architecting and managing security and forensics products, including EnCase Endpoint Security, Gartner's 2016 market share leader in detection and response.
