Jason Schmitt is vice president and general manager of the Fortify business within the HP Enterprise Security Products organization. In this role, he is responsible for driving the growth of Fortify's software security business and managing all operational functions within the group. Schmitt has extensive experience in product management, development and marketing for all types of web and security technologies. His expertise ranges from cloud-based secure web gateways, to application security and mobile security consulting services, to network-based video surveillance.

Previously, Schmitt held product management and engineering leadership positions at SPI Dynamics (later acquired by HP), Barracuda Networks, Steelbox Networks, EzGov, Ariba and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Schmitt is a frequent speaker and author on security technologies, trends and secure software development. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
