Shahar Tal is the Vulnerability and Security Research Manager at Check Point Software Technologies. Prior to joining Check Point, he held leadership roles in the Israel Defense Force, where he was trained and served as an officer. He brings more than 10 years of industry experience; his security expertise comes from having served in several of the IDF's elite technology research and development units, where he gained invaluable experience with some of the toughest security challenges. Shahar holds a Bachelor's in computer science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an MBA from Tel-Aviv University. A self-proclaimed "security geek," he speaks regularly at industry conferences and owns a tattoo of a hexadecimal dump.
